My passion for fabrics and cuts was practically instilled in me from birth. It runs like a thread through my family history. My great-grandmother and several great-aunts were master tailors, my grandfather was a master weaver.

When I was 12, I was fascinated by the technology of my grandmother's sewing machine. This developed into a passion for sewing, cutting and, above all, designing patterns. A long period of self-study followed. The fine art of tailoring is a well-kept secret that I was determined to decipher. I myself learned a lot from textbooks from past decades - some of which date back to the 1920s. After my apprenticeship, I realized my dream of having my own studio in 2015.
